Doors to China’s markets are creaking open

The trade war is on the headline almost every day. Many of my business friends definitely feel nervous, scared about where this is going. I am sure a lot of will suffer, while many will win, like any crisis that we had before.

Since there is not much we can do as an individual to change the situation. The question is: Who will win in this situation? How can I be in the winning side? Or at least hedging the possible winning side to minimize the risk?

Under the heavy pressure from the US, China is already up the game of IP protection, open the markets to an unprecedented level.

  • Google is back to China
  • Tesla open the factory that has 100% ownership
  • Foreign banks can open the business in China and keep 100% ownership, can offer services which they can’t do before.

I think that this could be a great opportunity for some big bet, of course, the risk is also high considering the uncertainty of the political situation. Plan carefully.
